Through independent, original writing, The Exchange aims to raise awareness and challenge misconceptions concerning poverty and the poor in our city. UpStart, our vendor program, provides immediate employment for individuals experiencing poverty and homelessness. Between the Lines is a literacy and writing program offered in a supportive and dynamic environment. Our writing workshops invite homeless individuals to share their ideas, experiences and perspectives.
